Styron Exhibited Carpet and Flooring Solutions at DOMOTEX 2012

January 19, 2012

Berwyn, PA - January 19, 2012

DOMOTEX, the world's leading international trade show for carpets and flooring coverings, took place from January 14th to 17th in Hannover, Germany. Every year the latest international trends in Flooring are presented during the four days event and a comprehensive mix of old and new innovative products was on display.

More than 100 International customers accepted Styron's invitation to meet with our experts for one-on-one commercial and technical discussions at our booth. Making flooring more durable and more sustainable are the challenges of today's carpet backing and artificial grass manufacturers. Styron presented solutions to our customers to help them meet those challenges and differentiating in their product.

"Meeting and networking with all our customers is essential to our business and this annual event in Hannover provides the perfect platform for these meetings. Maintaining our relationships with already existing contacts is our priority at this show, but in addition we identified many interesting new business opportunities," said James Kennedy, Global Flooring Industry Manager.

Styron solutions which attracted much attention at the booth include Enversa - an innovative backing for carpet which addresses the environmental concerns with the current competitive backing. Another example of how Styron is addressing these challenges is making latex using Lomax Technology. Carpet Latexes are made in the US by using renewable energy - resulting in lower greenhouse gas emissions. Learn more about Lomax Technology.

The show welcomed more than 45,000 visitors from all over the world, which represented double digit growth in attendance. Styron exhibited at this innovative event together with 1,370 other suppliers and witnessed an outstanding successful DOMOTEX 2012.
