Company showcases advanced solutions for medical applications
Hong Kong, September 17, 2013 – Styron, a leading global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex and rubber, is going to showcase premium quality polycarbonate resins and compounds as well as blends for single- and multiple-use medical devices and equipment housings at MEDTEC China 2013 (Hall 2, booth 332) at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre from 25 – 26 September 2013.

CALIBRETM MEGARADTM PC Resins – This is the polycarbonate of choice for gamma and e-beam sterilization processes. These grades utilize color compensation technology to provide improved color stability after sterilization resulting in parts that have less color shift and quickly return to their near-original appearance.
EMERGETM PC/PET 9500CR Advanced Resins – An ignition, impact and heat resistant material specially designed for medical equipment housings and other applications that require enhanced chemical resistance. The formulation of this advanced resin is specially designed to endure repeated exposure to a wide variety of aggressive chemicals, including surface disinfectants and cleansers commonly used in the medical industry.
