Styron Announces Price Increases for Polystyrene and Copolymers in Europe

HORGEN, Switzerland - July 2, 2014 -Styron, the global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex and rubber, and its affiliate companies in Europe announced today price increases for all polystyrene (PS) and copolymer grades. Effective immediately, or as existing contract terms allow, the July contract and spot prices for the products listed below will increase as follows:

  • STYRON™ general purpose polystyrene grades (GPPS), STYRON™ and STYRON A-TECH™ high impact polystyrene grades (HIPS) by 100 Euro per metric ton
  • MAGNUM™ ABS resins by 65 Euro per metric ton

  • TYRIL™ SAN resins by 75 Euro per metric ton
